ANTI-STRESS from THE SUN
Essential oils: Ylang-Ylang
Other oils: Genuine Vanilla from Madagascar
Vegetable oils: Coconut oil
The essential oil of Ylang-Ylang is the natural anxiolytic; its virtues are not only calming but attributes to anti-stress, harmonising the nervous system and is the alternative to medicines that can be harmful to our health that is so precious. It is traditionally used to calm stress and tensions, fight depression and insomnia. Its’ powerful and exotic smell contributes to the detachment of negative thoughts and is recommended in such cases of anxiety, nervousness, restlessness, sleep disturbances, low morale and many other conditions such as scalp care for example.
The anxiolytic activity of Ylang-Ylang essential oil has been demonstrated by recent studies where the participants indicated a state of “mental relaxation”.
Genuine Absolute Vanilla oil from Madagascar:
The main virtue of Vanilla oil from Madagascar is its nourishing qualities which when diluted in coconut vegetable oil releases all its benefits. Its sweet and bewitching fragrance takes the senses to another level. It is invigorating, relaxing and soothing.
The pods are picked at maturity to endure several different traditional treatments that will allow the aromas to develop. This genuine Vanilla oil from Madagascar is a concentrate of aroma happiness that reveals a balsamic and vanilla gourmet fragrance that is also slightly woody scent.
I associate it with the Tonka bean of Brazil for more masculine synergies.
Coconut oil is regularly used in cosmetics due to its nourishing and restorative properties. Very rich in essential fatty acids, especially lauric acid, it has a lipid replenishing action and is quickly absorbed by the skin. Coconut oil also contains other saturated fatty acids equally important for the skin, such as palmitic acid, which is a component of the epidermis. Capric and caprylic acids with antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties, or linoleic acid, which are all indispensable for the skin as they cannot be produced by the human body.
Coconut oil is rich in vitamins A and E: vitamin A helps cell reproduction and promotes skin hydration whereas Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that protects skin cells. It is a regenerating oil that I also use for anti-cellulite massages by associating it also with grapefruit essential oil.
